For the past three years, Standing Tall Igniting Hope has partnered with Dr. Michelle Ericksen, PhD, offering scholarships for therapeutic psilocybin experiences in Central Oregon and witnessing profound healing—greater peace, emotional release, and renewed purpose.
Inspired by this work, we’ve created a veterans-only healing experience, thoughtfully designed with care, integrity, and deep respect for the nervous system and spirit.
As we prepare for our first experience in early 2026, we’re honored to offer one full scholarship through a drawing—covering the entire experience, including travel and lodging.
This fully funded scholarship covers every aspect of the experience:

This scholarship is intended for a U.S. veteran who:
You do not need to have all the answers. You do not need to be “perfectly healed.”
Readiness, honesty, and sincere intention matter most.
Note: This experience is designed to support personal insight, emotional processing, and inner exploration in a carefully held, trauma-aware environment. It is not a substitute for medical or mental health care, and participation is not intended to diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. All applicants will be thoughtfully screened to help ensure safety, readiness, and appropriate fit.
To help ensure this experience meets the right person at the right moment, we are inviting interested veterans to complete a short written application. Your responses do not need to be polished or impressive. They simply need to be real.
You will be asked to share:
Application Deadline: March 10th. Winner will be drawn on the 14th, and we’ll announce we have chosen a winner on that day. The name of the winner will be revealed only with their consent. If the winner chooses to stay anonymous, we will honor their request and only reveal that a winner has been selected.
As we begin the new year, we invite you to support this sacred work and help create healing opportunities for veterans.
100% of donations made in January and February directly fund veterans’ healing experiences. Contributions given at any time in 2026 help expand access to these deeply restorative opportunities for those facing mental health challenges.
Make a financial contribution through our donor page. Every gift—financial or in-kind—makes a meaningful impact.
Donate airline miles to help cover travel costs. Email Colleen Schuerlein directly and she will call you to arrange the details.
